If you’re into improv at all, the crowd at Sea Tea Comedy is very friendly. There’s also a Connecticut Hiking and Outdoor Adventures FB group where I’ve noticed a lot of people connect with new hiking buddies. If you like to ski, the weeknight ski groups at Sundance can be really friendly and social, though they are probably about half way over by now.

New Haven used to have a big mob presence. I don’t know how active it still is. I think they were connected to families out of Boston but I’m not sure.

Call 211
Edit - I should add 211 is a good resource for finding urgent/crisis mental health care in CT.

Hartford Prints. If you want West Hartford or general CT stuff, there’s a store that shares space with Nutmeg Credit Union that has cute stuff.

Try the gym at St Francis hospital. It’s part of the JCC and they have trainers that are used to working with people who are getting back to fitness and:or dealing with injuries.
