My experience - not during peak commuting hours. Which is most likely the time OP wants to commute.

Nah, I'm just an itinerant traveler, but Western Mass has a real special place in my heart after years of motorcycle touring in New England. I used to run Hartford-Burlington in college a lot to see my girlfriend and tried to stay as far left of 91 as possible.

Closed today, I think because the summit road is closing for the season on October 30.
