This is not in your suggestions but Free Play is fun. 80’s/90’s arcade games. It can get crowded on weekends. Very nostalgic. I recently went to Kimi’s and loved it too.

I think that by now, we should all be aware that the I-195 commission is just a bunch of crooks giving valuable property away to their rich friends. (Either that or they are shit business people, either way we got fucked)

Supernatural stuff aside, it would be a matter of comparing violent crime per capita (taking into account visitors). Then also taking into account suicides (taking those out of the equation since it seems to be also a suicide destination). The crime rate might still be lower. These shows would provide a very skewed portrayal of violent crime. I mean, also what type of crime, the park didn’t have a whole chain of banks swindled by a guy that now has to pay a couple thousand dollars per month for 1000 years (not feeling like looking up the actual number).

Ok, there is plenty of bad. Like I grew up in a developing country and the corruption is at that level. The racism outside mayor metro areas is also pretty 80’s However: Best Mexican food in New England. Close to MA without the price tag If you are LGBT, living in Providence is pretty good. I would not recommend anywhere else in the state though. Italian Food It is a small pond, so advancing in a career that does not require political influence is relatively easy (if you want to be in a Gov. Position you will def need the connection because the corruption part.) If you are a crook you can do pretty well for yourself ALL BEACHES ARE PUBLIC. It is part of the constitution which is amazing considering other states charge you to enjoy nature and the fucking ocean. It is not New Jersey Lots of beautiful parks History!

I love it and you can live here is you don’t pay attention to local politics and work outside the state/private sector because it is truly a shit show.

Last year protest was started by advocates and a senator. I found out about it and joined. I slept there and got up in the morning to go to work, then came back to teach a class and then went back to the camp to sleep. The worry was that the state would try to arrest houseless people and having “less vulnerable” people there would bring attention and not put people with limited resources in jail. It was weird to hear or this conspiracies, and then come back to the state house and talk to case workers, veterans, people who used to be houseless, and young people who were in the foster care system. Because of this criticisms, homeless folks decided to set up tents out there this year. If you want you can go out there and bring coffee in the mornings or food. Come and listen to their experiences. And not make shit up. Houseless folks set up tents all around the city all the time, and people don’t give a flying fuck. Maybe if they embarras the people mishandling housing funds, maybe then we will see something done.

Remember this happened last year after promises to find solutions were made. Everything was forgotten until this year. The approach seems to be “out of sight out of mind” and I think they are trying to keep it “in sight”.

Affordable in this case meant 5% of units for people making $42,000 per year and 5% for people making $42,000-72,000 per year. You should watch the video with Joan Ryan’s smug face dismissing people testifying against it. Or how Goncalves talked about homelessness to justify pardoning taxes for this building. Our city council is just a bunch of puppets.

I want to remind people that the same thing happened last year. There was Senator camping out so they didn’t dare to evict them. This year it was only houseless folks, that why this is happening (also the reason last year was organized to NOT put houseless ppl in a precarious position). Last year, Promises were made, news conferences were called, and the protest ended but the promises didn’t materialize. Out of sight out of mind seems to be the Governor’s approach. Come tonight (Thursday) at 5 for a prayer and demonstration or tomorrow at 8 am to stop the clearing the camp from happening
