Oh so it was cause of the pandemic that makes sense. Hope they bring it back I get on at 69th and off at gulph mills/dekalb hahaha the limited service would save me soooo much time
How did it work if you know? AFAIK there’s no second track on the route, so idk how limited or express trains would pass the train making all stops

Why/when did the Limited/Express lines on the Norristown High speed get stopped? Will they ever be resumed?

This is not a solvable problem without automation otherwise the population has to permanently grow to support the economy which isn’t realistic unless we’re settling in space

How are you getting those numbers? Not arguing that a lighter, denser battery gives you better range but claiming you’d double the range when you have half the battery weight is a lot lol

Reply to Eli5 why does eating boiled potatoes make you feel full quicker than eating fries even though fried potatoes contain more fat & calories? by MrM_37
It’s because of water content, most likely. A common comparison I used to see was “are you going to get full faster on grapes or raisins?” They’re the same thing basically but one is dried. Because of that it takes up less volume and mass and can fit more compactly in the stomach per calorie

Reply to comment by TechyDad in What would food look like if we could scale up lab grown meat? by sandcrawler56
This is the likely outcome, “real” meat would become a luxury and advertised to be high end while most people get lab stuff. The masses are still better off for the reasons you said
I don’t think “real” meat would become a luxury because it would taste better though. Most likely lab grown meat will taste as good if not better than the luxury stuff because it can be more finely controlled and will contain less gristle and connective tissue. The luxury meat would be high end because it would be authentic and expensive, and if the difference was big enough it might actually put the other market out of business
