You were almost out of there when that bus just decided "Nope! Not today." That part of Ives is always terrible and the bus loves just heading straight down. I wonder if making parking on only one side would be a possibility

Folks from the class (both current and former students) along with some local hispanohiblantes also get together twice a month on weekends at either Madrid or Wildflour to chat in Spanish. That group posts in the Meetup app
Checkout this Meetup with Providence Practicing Spanish: https://meetu.ps/e/LLhsw/KZPXs/i

I recently went to Central Rock in Warwick on a Friday night, it was hopping with a lot of young folk that were eager to chat. It also helped that it's dog-friendly so I could bring mine along and trick more people to coming over and talking to me =)

401 Run! We run at Gansett Brewery every Wednesday night at 6! It's a blast. This time of year brings some lights, some bright clothes, and come hang! No need to drink after. They also run in Wayland on Thurs nights, and Garden City in Cranston on Tues I think

Rock climbing gyms! There is a Rock Spot in PVD that is bouldering only, a Rock Spot in Lincoln, or a Central Rock in Warwick that are all fantastic and full of youthful folk

Reply to Punk &/or queer spaces? by SinnamonR0ll
I am not part of the queer community myself, but have found that Providence Bike Jam (every third Friday of each month, but this month their "Cranksgiving" is this Saturday instead) has a very large queer contingent that makes the jams so much more lively/bright/fun (the right adjective escapes me). Check them out!

Any yard? What floor? Overall square footage?
I'm in Oak Hill currently, on the west side of East Ave., but the other folks in my house suck and I would consider a relocation if the place was right.

Reply to Best date ideas not involving booze? by dfts6104
Coffee anywhere, hikes at Lincoln Woods (or better yet a combo of coffee at Borealis and a walk on the EBBP), rock climbing, axe throwing, WaterFire when it starts back up, space stuff on an open Ladd Observatory night, I've walked the Hope St farmer's market with a date then just sat at a park bench and chatted... We live in a dope city, the list is long.
These are just an unfiltered idea dump. It's hard to say "anything fitting the vibe of these bars, but that aren't bars"
