This is my album, a musical response to Ornette Coleman, M.S. Subbulakshmi, and Aretha Franklin. I visited the church where Aretha Franklin recorded her 1972 album "Amazing Grace." I sang with them every Sunday for four months, and made this music in part to express my gratitude, but also to offer my own presence to the church:
