Definitely not buy it for life but I got the mueller one for my registry 2 weeks ago and I have several of their products and their customer service is amazing which is why I chose them.
They replaced my coffee grinders immediately free of charge when they had minor issues.
Like others said a good knife will be more BIFL but sometimes chopping up onions with a knife is annoying lol
