Definitely. If those four had been killed or taken down by the shooter, that's still time for more backup to arrive, more people to get to safety, less ammo and will for the shooter.

I imagine that they probably have more pilots than usable aircraft at any one time. Combat aircraft are very complicated to keep in a ready state, so you're going to have aircraft that are unable to be used. Adding more aircraft or even just spare parts is going to enable them to increase their sorties.

Regular aircraft require a significant amount of maintenance just to fly safely, now add even more systems to that - radar, more communication gear, countermeasure/defensive systems, then the weapons, and it gets even worse. Then when you look at fighters, that can undergo extreme stresses, it compounds everything.

Lost productivity of not just the individual, but also the people who need to care for them who could have otherwise done other things. If someone's spouse was a school teacher or a factory worker, but now they have to stop doing that to care for their disabled spouse, that's another job that isn't being done.

Frankly, I admire them for doing it and will continue to do if they stick to their guns. I just hope they are able to keep their employees paid while going through this, because it ain't cheap.

There's only one party I know of that constantly insists, without evidence, that there's massive fraud. There's only one party that has members insist that because of said "fraud" that the loser of the election should be instated, and not the winner.
