I am lucky to live in a basement apartment right now. Normally it sucks, but it is 60°F in here with my heating completely off while being literally 12°F outside. Throw on a sweater or blanket and I am fine. Summers aren’t that bad either. I just throw a fan/air purifier next to my bed and couch…it is fine.

My understanding is It isn’t so much that it is expanding faster than the speed of light, but rather that the speed of light changes as the universe expands.
For 99% of the universe, we mostly understand things. On the 1% fringes, we pretty much have no idea and literally probably can’t have any understanding of what the fuck is going on.

To be fair, there is no real distinction between the observable universe and the whole universe. Saying there is a difference seems to say that there is a universe outside the universe.

I think the book is about human nature and how easily power corrupts. You start off with good intention and some power because somebody has got to be in charge. But you keep seeking more power until you forgot what you set out to do in the first place.
It is just more upsetting in communism because at least in capitalism that was the goal in the first place.

There is some literature that says only approximately between 64-77% of people experience a headache in their life.
That means on the high end, 1/4 of people have NEVER had a headache, which is just mind blowing.

The M1 MacBook were leaps and bounds better than anything else on the market. I mean I know it is a quasi -V1 product because it was all under the hood, but designing a new laptop is way easier than fundamentally launching a new platform.

I mean Apple is probably being extremely cautious after the current Meta Quest Pro debacle.
They have to absolutely land the software, which is why it is delayed and why the Quest Pro is struggling. Their biggest rival is floundering after putting a ton of resources into it, so you have the opportunity to slow down and make sure you nail it.
Investors were demanding Meta put out something after going all in on the “Metaverse” instead of the ad cash-cow. They pushed out the mediocre Quest Pro and I wouldn’t be shocked if Zuck “steps back” from Meta within the next year.

I like baseball and communism. The 1970’s Cincinnati Reds were the “Big Red Machine”. Communists are also know as Reds. Hence BigCommieMachine.

If Henry Kissinger wasn’t around and he didn’t launch the War On Drugs, I could tolerate Nixon crookedness.
I mean the Kissinger thing is huge. He escaped the Nazis….only to commit genocide himself. I mean the QAnon folks should be looking at him if anyone. I don’t see how that man isn’t a lich or something surviving on the blood of virgins he killed in war crimes.

Nixon expanded welfare, proposed Obamacare in 1971, and made incredible progress in protecting the environment. Reagan burnt it down.
