Twin Peaks had some rather bizarre plot stuff that essentially said the story will pickup in 25 years and then “froze“ some of its cast. By making a sequel 25 years later they were able to pay off what they had setup, as if it were always planned that way for season three. It sounds like the new Clone High original characters have been frozen all twenty years, about enough time to grow a new generation of clone teen characters. It pays off the cliffhanger of them getting frozen, like the plan was always to wait twenty years for season two. Both shows had in-universe explanations already built into their very long delays between seasons

30 Rock is the setting and tone, it doesn’t have to be a Tracy and Liz reboot of TGS in the same continuity, it should pivot to the production of a different late night talk-show comedy series under NBC/Peacock. Not exactly a Fallon spoof, maybe more of a Weekend Update type show on a dying network with their own fake Dick Wolf as the nemesis

It kinda won me over at the very end of episode three. Was wondering what possessed Rodrigo Santoro to take such a nothing role and then he destroyed me, had to rewind the scene twice. Interesting spin on the Argent type however this might be Stockholm syndrome scenario. Young cast isn’t impressive so far, SMG TBD, haven’t seen #4, fire and werewolves this unconvincing in the 2020’s is shrinkflation happening in real time on “premium” tv

There are several amazing sequences and episodes of Black Summer buried in standard Netflix bloat. I hope we get a third season. Some of the intentional ugliness is a bit much especially in season one, however cool stunt work and camera stuff really elevates the material. The beginning and near end of season one through end of two really worked for me as a fan of 28 Days Later/ Crazies style action horror
