Saw the smoke and emergency response after they got it under control on the way home. What kind of dingus lets a fire get out of control in the literal middle of a river??

Found an exposed iron(?) pipe under the deck that lines up with the hot line inside. Wrapped that and used some fiber glass to fill in the gaps as much as possible. We'll see if that works.

So the pipes will only burst when they start to thaw? I have all the faucets open, so it would make me feel much better if the bursting part was preventable.

If you're headed to vote, be kind to the volunteers. Im just leaving my first ever shift working the polls, and it's a lot. We have little info or authority. Just there trying to help. Complaining to volunteers just wastes their time and slows things down. So be patient, maybe get to know people in line, they are all our neighbors after all. Happy voting!
