I really don't understand the sudden uproar with him comparing football to war/the military. It's been that way forever.
Actual Brady quote: “I almost look at like a football season like you’re going away on deployment in the military, and it’s like, man, here I go again.”
Random examples:
"It's a war of attrition." "Battle in the trenches." "Throwing bombs" "Going to battle"
Many terms used in game are either adopted from the military or to it.

Yeah. Like compararing football to a nuclear fucking holocaust is much less "tone-deaf".
Or people weren't so easily offended back then.
