Solar cells last more than 20 years and definitely are net negative on carbon multiple times on that time scale. Also, energy use is at a maximum when the sun is up. Something about people being awake.

I thought strength increases as r^2 and weight increases as r^3 so someone has to gain a lot of weight for harder and harder strength increases.

One thing to consider is that the mortgage interest rate was 9% in 1975. So $100k in 2022 dollars then is equivalent to $150k now at 5% for a 30 year loan. Or $190k at 3%.

Yeah, with deflation, it makes you not want to spend money which causes more deflation.

We should do that but it isn't optimal for everywhere. For instance, lack of mountains with areas you are willing to flood. That said, there are other ways to store energy for nighttime.
