There’s a good book called “getting things done” with a lot of great organization tips. Some tasks should be on a calendar… But not all of them. Sometimes it’s helpful to have prioritization’s, not everything is time bound.

I think congestion pricing is going to be a huge success primarily because it will be automated. See, all you need to do is put up the special cameras that can read license plates and… Oh, wait. Never mind. /s

My building has a “no new dogs” policy… So of course these selfish people move in, buy a dog and then announce that “it’s an emotional support animal”. The sense of entitlement is unbelievable…

For one reason or another all media reporting seems to have stopped back in May last year. I did go to the BLM main page and I have to admit… The “explanation” seems lacking to me. https://blacklivesmatter.com/we-want-to-talk-to-you-about-the-creators-house-in-california/

The movement itself is extremely worthwhile, but there have been these very troubling allegations that to the best of my knowledge have never been really cleared up. https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2022/04/black-lives-matter-6-million-dollar-house.html

Reply to “In Affordable Housing v. Parking Lot, a Judge Chooses the Lot” A recent court ruling put a stop on a high-rise planned for the South Street Seaport, pitting preservation against housing needs — again. by CactusBoyScout
It’s interesting because I quite literally just read a long article from this sub talking about not only warehousing but property management software that quite literally controls the market by creating artificial scarcity. To be fair I just scanned the article but it seemed like pretty obvious price-fixing as far as I can tell.

Selfishly, my only concern/curiosity is what the pricing on edibles will be like compared to Massachusetts. It’s like Willy Wonka‘s factory up there! All different kinds of product. And I really like the regulated/documented edibles, so I have high hopes (no pun intended).

I’m not sure if you’re joking but that is correct – just like many things in the city, people have decided that the laws just don’t really matter anymore.

I believe the NFL has a specific rule against doing something like this… Although to be fair I heard about that on another Reddit comment asking why football teams can’t get a 7 foot tall guy to hold up his arms and block field goals!

I’ve actually gone through this before… I know it sounds cruel, but the best thing to do is cut the card up and throw it away. I actually went so far as to call the credit card company and offer to either hold the card or drop it off at the bank… A bank that issued the card… And the customer service person basically said “thanks but no thanks“.
So I applaud your attitude, but this is just one of those things unfortunately.

Reply to LPT: if you can’t find the motivation to brush your teeth at night (or morning), use mouth wash instead. by [deleted]
I’m not a dentist or anything, but this seems like terrible advice. It doesn’t take all that much effort to brush your teeth. It doesn’t take more than a minute to floss your teeth either… And I know many people don’t do that (I didn’t do it for a long time). But brush your teeth folks. Twice a day at least. Don’t over brush, and be careful of your gums.
