You are confusing open source with source available. Open Source includes all the same freedoms as Free Software. Source Available has source code but comes with restrictions.

The do called botter lesson just shows that the research is still at the start. Of course line fitting gets better the more data points you have. We are still just line fitting.

I think have the particular knowledge inside the model is a bad approach. I think it would make much more sense that the model knows how to search and reason about the found data.

I am more worried governments will use AI to fully automatically censor every post and chat. Right now they would have to spend too much to throw humans at it, but AI could make it almost free.

That only the people in power are allowed to use AI while the rest is not. Like some kind if AI aristocrats. But this will probably happen when the regulations come.

Yes the same as owning trade routes. If you don't want others to use it then don't publish it or don't invest in the first place. Leave the market to good people that don't feel the need to restrict other human's freedoms.

Or they should not do r&d if they cannot accept others people's human rights to use their brains whatever they like. This is like saying a thief had so much effort he should be allowed to keep the stolen good

I don't see a value in that. Humans can just lie as much and write things that are not true or pretend to be someone else. The only difference is that you can write much more with such tools.
