So I personally use a pair of WH-1000XM4s but I autoEQ'd them to be the 2018 Harman Neutral over ear target, and I do not get this.
What you are describing is something I notice specifically with open backs. However the Sennheiser HD800S are phenomenal for gaming.
Closed backs for gaming, open backs for everything else is what I'd say you could roll with if you want to hot swap. However, you could use SteelSeries Engine to use their app SteelSeries Sonar (I think) and you can actually set a custom EQ per game, meaning that you could run a neutral target the rest of the time and then tune the open backs to sound proper during gaming.
This is just my two cents, there is always the fact that you're experiencing is just shitty video game settings (should be using Headphones mode and I like to turn on all of the audio enhancements the game offers).

Apple markets the phone as new and better, when they're the same shit, and over time they get slower and the battery life gets worse.
Beyerdynamics sells you a pair of 990s and they last 40 years and continue to work.
Also I can repair my beyerdynamics, but my iPhone will throw error messages or disable faceid.

Reply to Left my Xm5's overnight on a box of TicTacs, woke up to this permanently printed on them. I hate TicTac :( by DwelfGG_
Here's a fun way of thinking about it, you have a one of a kind tic tac stamped XM5 pair!
That's awesome and also disappointing, I feel ya, I'm a perfectionist as well, but even this would make me laugh.
You could try 99% isopropyl alcohol and scrub it out.

Reply to I found a journal in an abandoned psych ward. I think it might be telling the truth. by killerfuzzball7
I have 2 theories:
Journal is a hoax. Either a patient there wrote it as a short story, as a prank, or someone else wrote it as a hoax and put it there after the fact but that's less likely compared to it being from a patient.
The patient was psychotic. Schizophrenia and psychosis will cause mass delusions. I wouldn't be surprised if this is simply just writing during a long episode of psychosis. Considering the scribbling, the writing looks like what is typically seen from a psychotic patient.
I wouldn't worry at all, though it's still creepy as hell.
