Reply to ACLU says it could take legal action over Saucon Valley School District rescinding approval for After School Satan Club by Modestkilla
Choosing to die on this hill doesn't help district kids. SVSD will blow $ on this whole "culture war" nonsense that they could have, instead, chosen to spend on the kids. The best that they can hope for is to find a right-wing law group who'll work for them in exchange for the free publicity (which will lessen damages, when they come, but not make them 0...see Kitzmiller v Dover SD).

I see your mistake. See, you're proposing a free marketplace of ideas where, if no one chooses to attend the after school club, it'll close and no longer be a thing.
Conservatives don't actually want opposing views to be heard.

I can't tell if you're getting downvoted because folks aren't familiar with Dick Dean's gasping rants or because folks who support him are very familiar.

Ha! While I don't disagree, I'd call that something else...
As I told a vocal person outside of a polling place once, I'm not here to reason with you. I'm here to defeat you.

With you, and love mail-in ballots, but have you heard about the party that's trying to end mail-in voting in PA (after voting unanimously for it in the PA Senate previously)?

Since the point whistling past you made such a lovely sound, let's play it again.
Why not make it a multi-day window precisely because of the "folks gotta work" bellyaching retorts?

This is going to seem strange, because compromise is a dying art, but if you see the other reply, why not both? Why have it just be a day? Why not make it a multi-day window precisely because, no matter which day you make it, somebody will bellyache with an objection?
At the end of the day, what would things look like if one side didn't want a lot of people to vote? Would we see a lot of the things that we see now?

Depending on what part of town he's in, there'll be plenty of shopping, and should be enough to do nearby that he can stay entertained. In the coming years, I think that this might prove useful to the seniors who are in a position to take classes there:

Sorta. Many teachers & schools have taken to putting buckets and/or litter in room closets in the event of extended lockdown due to school shootings. The presence of those supplies, no joke, have led to rants about students who identify as furries and just prefer to use litterboxes.
Refuted just yesterday (again) on a different sub:

You see my point. When you want to win, you setting ambiguity like this before you bring the case.
To reiterate my prior though, if Weisselberg or Pecker came forward with evidence that they've sat on all this time, it all might be academic (and the reason why the DA finally decided to go to the grand jury).
Strange times. We'll all find out eventually.

They're a weird mix between belief and stoic self reliance (with the AA prayer being a mantra almost identical to the stoic dichotomy of control).
