I wish I had a suggestion other than "find some roommates" or "try looking elsewhere". It's pretty sad when a single person in their early 20s can't get started with an apartment somewhere. Same thing I saw when I moved west. People live with their parents until they're like 30 or banding together 4 different people to rent one space. Otherwise, you're either well off or on the street. Good luck.

High taxes, over regulation, over population with not enough homes to meet the demand and homes becoming too expensive to build because of high taxes, over regulation, inflation and rising cost of labor and materials.

What really needs to happen is lower the tax burden but that's actually just the easy part. The hard part is getting all the people jammed up in the small new england states to actually go to other places. It's a big country. South Carolina has beaches too.

At the risk of sounding like a "taxation is theft" type, sales tax and income tax should be 0.0% in every state. That is pure robbery taxing someone on for their work snd what they purchase with what is left for them.

Maybe but only because RI is like Massachusetts Jr. in some ways. I've lived in both and also lived in the PNW and the Midwest and Massachusetts people have a more heightened sense of importance, which is different than being self entitled but it's similar enough.

The only way to know is to really live it. People in MA think Boston is a perfect city with no problems and the state as a whole just has the whole world figured out.

The state government is like that too. Massachusetts does things that literally no other states do, and other states do better and more simplified but MA has to have their own way. Moving out of MA is seen as a spit in the face too.

If RI is like that, it's not as bad as the Bay State neighbors.

Toward the end, yes. As much as I'm convinced this is all a hoax that is even fooling some local news outlets, I find retail nostalgia to be a bit weird. I like the history of these places and learning what lead to their rise and fall, but people have a weird way of remembering things.

I see it a lot right now with the nerd crowd and their love of Blockbuster even though I remember when Blockbuster was mocked and made fun of the last decade of its existence and actual film nerds in the 90s usually went to smaller shops to get their videos and then bemoaned the fact when Blockbuster moved into town and ran them out of business.

Patriots are no problem with an antenna. The rest, I just listen to on the radio, check national games when available or watch a recap on YouTube. Its not my ideal method but its what works best for me right now. I kinda miss the days where I didn't have to subscribe to a new service or get a new package for every little thing I want to watch.
