Reply to audiobooks by eutychiia

I love them for non-fiction, and retain information better than I do with regular books. With fiction I struggle to keep track of the story.

I'd recommend reading a study book about the play, or a site like this that's meant for kids learning at school: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/z3wyk7h and then find a recording of the play and watch it. If you want to delve more into the language you can read it after, but the plays are much better performed than read, imo.

And don't delay getting into King Lear, it's so good!

For paperbacks or hardbacks my first port of call is my local bookshop, which is fabulous. If I have a book in mind that they don't have (a rare event) and they can't get hold of it I look at Waterstones and Blackwells in town. If I can't get it there I'll go to Amazon.

If I'm ok with the ebook I go straight to Amazon.

I enjoy a walk around my local Oxfam bookshop, but that's more for a serendipity find than looking for something in particular.
