Reply to comment by Beyond_Interesting in $300 gas bill this month. What am I doing wrong? by dobsco
It was built in 1991, so insulation standards were definitely better. I had new windows installed five years ago.
Confident_End_3848 t1_j1et9ui wrote
I heat around 1700 sq ft (keep at 74 degrees) and my December gas bill was $80. So $300 bill tells me insulation problems.
Confident_End_3848 t1_j1erfk1 wrote
Since it’s an 80 year old house, what insulation has been added, if any?

In the North Hills (and I imagine for most of Allegheny County), road clearing is a collective effort by the municipality, Allegheny County and PennDot.

There will be some snow in higher elevations.

OK, where I grew up, many people used coal and had that separate walled off space near the coal furnace to store coal.

A rental car for 3 months would be pretty pricey. Would the company reimburse?

So are you saying that you went to the drivers license center to convert to a real id and they haven’t mailed it to you?
When I switched to a real id, I had the new id in my mailbox within a week. If you go to a center, I’d go to one that can print a real id onsite, if there is one close enough.

That’s $600 per quarter. That’s high. I pay about $225 a quarter in western pa.

The only saving grace might be that the PUC regulates gas and electric utilities. The PUC generally has to approve their rate increases. Water companies don’t have that kind of oversight.
