It is for sure a bad shower wall install. First, the shower walls are not wide enough - need to be as big as the shower base. Those shower walls are notorious for causing water problems - they are impossible to seal effectively. I'd pull off all the plastic shower walls, remove the drywall and replace with GoBoard or Hardibacker. You can put a drywall corner bead on after you repair that corner. Order your new shower kit (the correct size this time) and install per manufacturer instructions. Make sure you use a high quality silicone caulk at all corners and at the shower base.

Some door knob/handles have either a pin or a couple spring loaded latches to hold the handle on. Maybe you could just remove the knob/handle so you can get to the mechanical section of the latch.

Reply to Replacing toilet seal and found a plant growing...other than cleaning, is there anything else I should do before installing a new seal by critter_bus
Also, you should rase your toilet flange so it is level with your tile surface. It looks like who ever did your tile work skipped a step to save a few bucks. Also ,that friend of a friend that knew a plumber that dated his sister once who suggested a double wax ring is giving bad advise

MDF (particle board) should never be used for floors (or anything for that matter). Particle board will swell and break up with any moisture. I would suggest plywood (OSB as a second choice) and yes the 19/32 would be fine as a replacement.
