I once beat Usain Bolt’s time on the sprinter speed racing exhibit at the SM and it really impressed my kids. I didn’t tell them that I cheated by leaving early but I didn’t activate the sensor and they still think I’m the fastest human alive.

Have you looked at the Libbie Mill/Midtown area apartments off Staples Mill and Broad? New apartments with modern amenities with some solid restaurants and shopping options nearby. A lot closer to the city than Short Pump, but without downtown parking issues or slumlords. I don’t have any clue on pricing or quality, or speak of them with any actual firsthand knowledge. I have just seen them and thought they might be a good compromise between city and full-on suburban life.

How big of a party? Are their dietary restrictions/preferences? Are you looking for something low-key and informal, at a less-expensive price point? Or are you looking for something more upscale and sit-down? There are lots of great spots in town, but an informal party of like 25-30 would do well at Bingo Beer. A smaller (but still large to a restaurant) party of 10-12 could try one of the newer, more upscale options, like Kismet or Acacia. It really depends what you specifically have in mind. Brambly Park is another option. It also depends what part of town you are looking at.

Back in the office, and not excited about it. My 2-day holiday vacation was literally just a very busy weekend. I hope everyone who has this week off enjoys themselves and their downtime or time with their families.
