This is fantastic. I would love it if you continue to share these. Nice that there are some free events, too. Thank you.

Not insta, but this Gothamist piece lists holiday markets that sound way more interesting than the ones at Union Square and Bryant Park.

That's awful. Did you contact the Wild Bird Fund? Perhaps they can help.

Good for the PEP. They do put up with a lot of abuse. I talked to an Urban Park Ranger (same enforcement powers, I think). She worked in Central & Riverside Parks & said wealthy people would often try to get out of a ticket by telling her how much they donated to the park. Didn't matter to her.

Ah -- I'm feeling grim this morning so totally misunderstood. People have been yelling at PEP for years. And honestly, some of them deserve it. But I totally understand the impulse to punch obnoxious people in parks.

Why does this man represent your community? You think punching him in the face elevates the situation? Just obey the rules yourself, and ignore everything else. He probably just wants attention; don't give it to him.

Agree. Usually just saying "Excuse me" and moving toward the seat solves the problem. Maybe the person is distracted, or tired, or just not paying attention.

Sounds like NYC isn't right for you. Random comments from strangers are pretty much to be expected here (or in any densely populated city).
I hope Spain works out for your family.
