"If you wanna be the man, you gotta beat the man. But sometimes when you've beaten the man a few times too many, he has trouble getting back on his feet. And you can't take a lovely lady on a trip to Space Mountain if the man is still laid out in the ring, can you? WOOOO! Mike Tyson's cannabis products! For when you need a little help getting back that kiss stealin', wheelin' dealin', limousine ridin', jet flyin' son of a gun! WOOOO!"

I'm sure there are players that care more about the community they live in than winning games as well. I know they don't technically have to live full time in or around their team's city, but playing for a team has to be a much more attractive prospect if you also enjoy living in the area.

Bouncing off the Walls was everywhere, but you probably didn't know the band's name. Just within their genre, they were competing against Blink 182, Sum 41, Offspring, and Green Day. They also would've been overshadowed by Evanescence, Seether, Shinedown, Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, Puddle of Mudd, Three Doors Down, System of a Down, Godsmack, Nickelback, Saliva, and Breaking Benjamin on pop radio and music video channels. And that's only their competition from the rock genre, plenty of rap and r&b was on the pop channels as well.

I'd probably put Sugarcult on par with a band like Bowling for Soup or Smashmouth, minus Smashmouth's extended longevity as a meme. A couple widely recognized songs, probably enough success to make a decent living, but never getting enough traction to really become famous.

They were donated so long ago no one is quite sure how to legally dispose of them, and it somehow feels worse to leave them collecting dust in a closet.

Have you asked a faculty member in the building where they're being displayed? Probably a better chance one of them knows the origins rather than some random redditors.

Disney+ also recently posted a $1.5 billion loss. It's only because Disney is capable of counteracting that loss with their other business ventures that they're able to sustain it. Even so, Disney+ is increasing its subscription price and introducing an ad tier.

This article from a couple weeks ago goes into further detail.

I hate how they worded the paragraph about impeding brain development. The goal of the research wasn't to create a disease model in rats, it was to create a more accurate replication of cell morphology than previous in vitro models could produce.

Cell development is incredibly complex, as cells respond not only to their own genome, but also to extracellular signals such as chemical signals and mechanical stress. Over at least the past decade, one way to account for this has been to shift from growing cells on a flat surface to three dimensional structures often referred to as spheroids or organoids.

However, organoids still aren't perfect representations of an in vivo environment. The importance of the difference in neurons post implantation is that their integration into a rat brain has allowed them to more accurately portray the differences between a healthy neuron and one with Timothy Syndrome than seen in organoids that remain in a dish. It wasn't that the Timothy Syndrome expressing cells were affecting the rat brain, it's that their implantation allowed them to display their own expected morphological changes.
