I've been using Deezer Hifi for 2yrs. Very happy with it. Had Spotify before that. Much prefer Deezer, good SQ, nice interface, huge library.

Environment my arse! They're cutting costs to make more profit. I dont know why they can't be honest about that. 🤷♂️

HD 650/6XX don't have a wow factor, and that's kind of their thing. They just sound right to me. IMO, a wow factor comes from something being over done, whether its soundstage, treble etc. But after the novelty wears off, it becomes bothersome. I think people love the hd650/6XX and 600 because they are just easy and wonderful to listen to, even for long periods. They take a bit of getting used to if you're coming from something with a little more "pazzaz". But long term the 650/6XX are great. I suggest listening to them for a week or two exclusively and then go back to the akg and Hifiman and you'll probably feel differently about them..... or maybe not. 😁

I feel ya, my friend. I spent last new year in isolation. Plenty of food and water and you'll be right in no time. I couldn't bare headphones because of horrendous ringing in my ears when I had Covid. Feel better mate, and hope the new year gets much better for you.

The Dekoni Elite Velour are very good and they also have the proper fitting ring for the k702. I will also say that that the 7xx and 712 are NOT the same (unlike the hd6xx & 650). I liked the 712, but the 7xx just sounded....... wrong, to my ears. Just my 2c.

I have those too. I haven't heard the XS, so can't comment on those. I have Beyer dt1990's as well as the Grados. The Beyers are technically "better" in terms of sq, but I wouldn't want to get rid of the Grados, I just really enjoy them (with the larger G pads).

Which model Grados do you have? I personally think that Grados are great headphones, even the sr60's punch well above their weight in terms of sq, and the soundstage and imaging is unbeatable for the price.

Reply to Hey guys! Would you advice Sennheiser's certified renewed headphones?? I found super nice deals! by InspectorGadget91
If they're refurbished by the manufacturer, they usually have some kind of warranty with them, so you should be fine.

Reply to I'm thinking of buying a Sennheiser HD650, but I had a few questions regarding music soruce material. If anyone could help, it would be much appreciated! by madmidget
If you want good headphones, the hd600/650 is an excellent choice. They are very good. Once you have them, listen to Spotify if you already have it. If you're not happy, at that point it won't really cost you anything extra to move to a higher quality streaming service like Tidal, Qobuz, I've been using Deezer for about 2 yrs and have been very happy with the quality and interface of it. But getting the headphones is the first step and then work on the source if you think you can get a better result.

Reply to AKG K702 Review: WIIIDE by OkRazzmatazz7121
My K702's were my first "better" headphones I bought many years ago. Since then I have bought and sold, god knows how many, yet the K702's remain. Now they sit with my DT1990 and Grado rs2e. I'm in a good place for now...... for now. 😁
