If you used to jam the SNES, you'd probably have a great time with the Switch. The catalogue of old games (which you may know from the past) from NES, SNES, N64, Sega Genesis, and now Gameboy/GBA is really large and quality now imo. It comes with the Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Switch also has, at least in my opinion, some of the best modern games in those old series. Mario Odyssey and 3D World, Metroid Dread, DKC Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
If you wanted to go *pure* nostalgia, you can get a SteamDeck and install like every emulator up to xbox 360/ps3. It's basically a small linux PC so it can be trickier to set up, but really is not bad. It could also play newer PC games from Steam, which was more the point of it. Like you can play the God of War and Horizon PS4 ports on it. Those PS4 exclusives are excellent titles.
TL;DR imo the very best way you could dip your toes back into gaming, with the best combination of new & old/nostalgic, you'd do well with a Nintendo Switch.

The Scarface and Godfather games were both pretty cool

I really fail to see how there isn't gonna be similar exploration. The sky islands are there, obviously, but also it's not gonna have all the same shrines and stuff. You'll be exploring in the exact same way, just to find new things. The fun of the exploration wasn't literally just seeing the landmass itself, it was the things or challenges you actually discovered. You admitting you're still buying it and hype for it really deflates your critique here too. But yeah, my point is, "it wont have the same exploration effect" is not actually a genuine criticism. It's a foolish one.

Monolith fully owns the patents for it. They're using it for an open-world Wonder Woman game.

Reply to When I grew up my father used to always play Ratchet & Clank 1-3, when he finished one he would just replay it immediately and probably finished each one 200 times, at least. He is getting older now so to speak and so I got this tattoo in his name today. by SwiftIy2
Haha those original R&C games are some of the only ones that exist where I too will immediately hop into a second playthrough. Challenge Mode in those games is my favourite version of "NG+" ive ever played, by far. It's the real game to me, the first run is just prologue! Rift Apart really took me back to those days.
Super cool piece btw, I suppose I should comment on that. Really strong lines and solid packed blacks, with a good balance of exposed skin. That's gonna look great for a LONG time.

TLOU2 builds on the first one in every way. It's only "polarizing" to weird nerds online who completely misunderstood the point of the first game. The games don't need to change, those people do.

What ridiculous branch of Islam says you can't listen to music? How can you even live like that? If you have a bunch of weird religious restrictions on what you can make, just do something else. Your game isn't gonna be engaging or good if it's coming from that ideology.

It's honestly one of the better ones. If you dig the formula, you should definitely grab it.
edit: just saw you loved both 3 and 5. Yeah, you'll really like 6. It's got the best of both those games.
