Reply to Stephen King and short fiction by metromesa
Completely disagree. My favorite King books are his longer ones. The Dark Tower series is like 4200 pages and I'd read 5000 more of that world if he wrote it.
If you like his shorter works, check out The Long Walk. I read it in one sitting. Awesome book.

Reply to eli5: Why do most airlines still use 2-pin audio jacks for the in-flight entertainment systems on their planes? by JJGLC92
It is expensive and probably a lot of red tape to update a plane. Smoking hasn't been allowed on planes for 30 years and yet a lot of them still have ash trays.

Reply to In the event of a fatal manned mission (example Artemis 2), would exploration stop in this period? by damarisu
It blows my mind how this moon race has resurfaced and has the feel of "can we do it???". We did it with technology dumber than the phone in my pocket 50+ years ago but we're all excited about a race to do it again? Why? Talk to me when we're heading to Mars.

The Green Mile isn't scary. I don't mean that like I'm a hardo who just wasn't scared.
It's just not a horror story. It's more of a tragedy with a little bit of the supernatural. You will cry though.

Straight out of a sitcom (HIMYM comes to mind). Calling BS.

I thought you were talking about the reflection of the tree in the window of the car. Like some Final Destination shit and the tree fell on the car after the pic was taken.
