Yeah, OP is just suggesting that Singularity could hugely benefit the world (if we align our values to collaborate) with things like conquering biological death. Or it could go belly up (if we don’t align and stay competitive) and a few entities will just disrupt the economy and people will lose their livelihood without any significant gains for the masses.

I’m hoping AI paints a picture for the true nature of interaction between the self and the universe through the senses and brain chemistry. Then we can get clearer answers of reality. Conclusive answers about neuroscience, psychiatry, Autism, shamanism, and drugs. Then maybe we can all get on the same page about mental health/religion and advance the human race together.

I call the man Joe Brandon around my house and to my family on the phone. I voted for Brandon. I knew Brandon would suck. I don't like the way the current government works, and I empathize with the Trump supporters that just wanted change, but they are devoid of proper human empathy and live too integrated to their own egos. Trump supporters and blind Democrats are both just responding to biological stimuli and social conditioning. Fuck Joe, Fuck Trump. Fuck any drone striking civilians domestic or abroad, and fuck anyone putting kids in cages.

Modulating serotonin will also drastically change a person’s experience. For example, SSRIs block the reuptake of serotonin which can lead to diminished self-talk. Likewise, serotonin agonists can help people empathize with others in a context more absent their primary ego.

We could also educate people how the brain actually works and what happens when you take drugs. It's wild how few people understand the neuroscience of the drugs they consume. I realize neuroscience is a hard concept, but its really not that hard of a field once you break it down into the various receptors and the chemicals people are imbibing. We should make education, safe drug use, and safe chemistry accessible and stop promoting the War on Drugs and scientific illiteracy in the name of social control and profit.

I’m incredibly optimistic about solving most of our issues. Once we open up these fancy new machine learning algorithms to other functions than visual imagery (they are already using it in some gene sequencing) than I think the discoveries will be found at an exponential rate. ML+CRISPR+advancements in technology to make cluster computing even cheaper (not to mention the possibility of quantum computers entering into the problem solving arena)
