Saw them at a fest once due to proximity of where I was fighting alcohol poisoning on the ground, and I’ll I remember is the singer of this band saying before at least 3 songs “remember when this was the biggest song in the world too? Sing for us!” Ok dawg.

I only know of Banyan from “La sirena.” A stinkin’ lovely tune.

Obligatory mention of John Frusciante’s homage to this song as “Before the Beginning,” also a 9-minute solo/composition.

Frusciante is the youngest at 52! The rest are near or at 60.

He did and some were definitely on studio releases.
Taste the Pain is a great song from Mothers Milk which I believe is Kiedis-Flea-Frusciante-Peligro. Sure there were more tracks too.

The only Chili Pepper drummer to be in the band with John Frusciante other than Chad Smith.

John Frusciante’s The Empyrean is a journey, mostly sonically - though the lyrics also deal with the same material - about human existence and the experience of such, from the mere idea of you until your soul has long left your body.
