I use the iematch but for a different reason. I use it with sensitive headphones with my tube amp. With some sensitive headphones or IEMs I only get a couple of clicks on the volume knob before its too loud and the iematch gives me nearly a third of the volume knob which let's me fine tune my volume much better.

I've purchased a few IEMs from Amazon and I've never received an open box. That's f*cked up in many ways when it's being sold as new. If you buy direct from Linsoul, HiFiGo, or Shenzhenaudio you shouldn't have a problem like open box but returns are also a pain when ordering from China. It's basically pick your demons because there are pros and cons to both. If you're in the US there is also headphones.com which I prefer to order from if they carry what I'm wanting otherwise I normally just buy from whoever has in stock from the previous mentions.

I think that the stiff competition in the budget chi-fi area will continue and we'll all be blown away by an IEM that's less than $100 that can compete with kilobuck gear.

I just like new shinny things to make the air wiggle in different ways.

Reply to Possibly a stupid question, Is there a cable that I could use to convert my IEMs to Bluetooth when I need to? by xolhos
With my KZs I use the KZ AZ09 Pro for Bluetooth. You could also use something like the Qudelix 5k or BTR5 but then your IEM is just wired to a wireless adapter. For a standard 2 pin connector IEM I use the Hiby wu1 (also can purchase an mmcx version).

Reply to Dunu SA6 Ultra regular release by Symp07
Imagine buying something like a limited edition car, sports memorabilia, or anything collectable that has a serial number as proof of how limited it is. You purchase it because of how limited it is because the company has promised that you are in an elite group of people who will be owning whatever it is due to how limited the product is. Then later down the road the company releases more of what you purchased causing your purchase to loose collector value because it is no longer limited. People will loose faith in the company as a whole because they falsely advertised a limited product that they even took time to put a serial number on.
The SA6 Ultra is limited to 300 and each unit has its production number stamped on the side as proof of how limited it is. They wouldn't be able to release another batch without stepping on the toes of those who purchased it as a limited product. Even if they did a different color it would still take away from the uniqueness and collector value because the tuning, packaging, contents of the package, and accessories were all part of what was advertised as the limited production run. If Dunu wanted to maintain how limited the Ultra is they would need to release a product that would be similar but different enough to maintain the collector value of those who purchased it.

Hdtracks and 7digital is where I purchase my lossless audio files. There are plenty of unethical ways of also getting lossless audio.

Reply to Is there a difference between cheap no brand dac / amp vs a branded one ? by rank_dont_matter
I can't speak for all the brands but I did once buy a DAC from Fosi and there was a lot of static in the left ear no matter what headphone or earphone I used. I returned it and went with a different brand that provided a much better experience.

Reply to Overwhelming tinnitus when using IEMs by floatingsphere
I also have tinnitus and the Aria was terrible for it. The IEM I found to be the least offensive with my tinnitus is the Raptgo Hook which is also an open back so that may have something to do with it.
