depends on the trade, i have a machinist friend who will never go back despite the decent pay.
its one way in, one way out and getting on the yard usually takes an hour, if not longer. same leaving.
12 hour shifts quickly turn into 14/15 just to get in and off the base. Im fairly certain theres OT galore.
