I use USB charging when I need to charge, with the exception being the in the car.
I bought a magsafe puck and mount for my car so that I don't have to worry about fumbling with a cable and fitting it in the holder. I just put the phone on the magnet and away I go.
Downside is the heat generated from the charging, which isn't so much of an issue for me when I either have windows down for airflow, or the air con is on.
