Reply to LPT: For those who don't want to make a giant meal on Christmas, make Christmas Lasagna by timbillyosu
I grew up in a family of great home cooks. I'm a decent cook but I always thought there was too much money spent on holiday meals. The point (IMO) is family and friends. I always make a lot of something simple and serve a variety of beverages (alcoholic & non). I don't spend days thawing and prepping and going broke. The result is the same: family & friends enjoying time together & being fed. Traditions are great but sometimes I think we forget the point of time together.

Reply to LPT: If you're checking a bag on a flight, mark it so it's easily identifiable from a distance, especially if the bag is black. I tie a bright red ribbon on the handle. This makes it much easier to spot on the carousel or if someone else tries to walk away with it. by ihavethebestmarriage
Good tip. I carry cheap luggage because it's going to get banged up by baggage handlers. I have always wound some blue painter's tape around the handles so I can identify it on the carousel.

Glad he's being honored this way. He is a good man. I don't think good men do well in politics (to our shame), but I wish there were more people in the world like him.
