I love the riff, but the drum solo gets old after repeated listening

The live versions made the album obsolete to me

Back in the 70s, the song had a vibe to it that was special. It fit in with the album and you listened to it as it came up after The Battle Of Evermore. As FM radio sprang up, it was a rare occasion to hear it. Now it’s just another over played song . I always saw it as a piece of an amazing album

Agreed. My only knock would be that I’m not a fan of drum solos on albums.

The sound quality of a lot of old DP albums is rough to me. Outside of SOTW, they didn’t put out many radio friendly hits, and by the time they got popular, they started replacing members

My kids sang in choruses and played in concert bands and would complain about bad conductors. I guess they keep it all together. Their might be groups that get out of synch and the conductor notices and gets everyone back in order
