Most are political hacks who hold election signs for someone. They don't have to worry about job security.

Since George Floyd, Covid, Antifa, and etc etc., Police all over the country have been laying low. Can you blame them? Well, things have got out of hand and people are dying on the highway and streets in droves. The powers to be would rather save gas and have the troops park on the side of the road like scare crows. It doesn't work. Things are out of control. You better knock off the BS. You know who you are. Smoky is ready to rumble. Drive safely.

Their away temp during the day must have been too low, I guess. Maybe they missed that in the directions. Live and learn. It happened about 8 years ago.

My kid had one of those fancy thermostats (Nest) that saves energy by shutting down the heat when it doesn't sense movement, figuring you have left the house. Real stupid idea. During a cold spat a few years ago they went out and came back to a frozen pipe in a wall, It cost them dearly.

They like it when you overcompensate by looking both ways, rear view mirror, side mirrors etc.

During a Y turn, make sure there isn't a tree or something in your blind spot when you reverse. A sneaky trick.

When you park on a hill, make sure you turn the wheel to the correct way. Toward curb downhill. Away from the curb up hill.

Make sure it is in park or neutral with your foot on the brake or the car won't start

Stay the proper distance away from the curb when they tell you to pull to the curb and stop.

Sometimes they will try to get you to turn into a one way street the wrong way...they'll tell you to take a left before a one way street and a few feet further there will be a stop sign where there is a cross street that it's legal to turn left. Use your directional.

Good luck. Don't tell anybody,HaHa (a few days before your test, pull an "I Spy" and follow at a discreet distance the route they take during a test. Do it a few times as sometimes they take different test routes. Use a friends car and not the one you'll use for the test.

Take it to court. 70% of the time if they think you took the trouble to fight it, you may not be guilty. Or, take the fine and the 6 years of insurance surcharges that will end up costing you hundreds. No need for a lawyer either. Be honest and tell them you made a mistake, (if they ask). Many times they will give you a not-guilty to save paying the cop overtime to testify, but most courts do not require the cop to be present (to save a buck) unless it goes before a judge.

Install a pellet stove or wood stove and shut down the heat pumps. It will heat your whole living area. You can install a PS in an existing fireplace or through a wall. I save thousands. Live in the North and between less sun and trees, solar does not do the job. My pellet stove cost $900. 7 years ago.

I had a factory installed tint on my new (at the time) car. I guess it must have been personal and they gave me a rejection sticker. When I told them it came that way, they replied another owner must have installed it. Sorry, I told them I bought it new. Should have seen the guys face.
