Lets say someone started working in 60’s, avarage wage was $4000 a year. Works for 50 years. Avarage wage in 2010 was $40k a year. When in the 60’s, that money that went towards pension wouldve been more useful to use in the 60’s than to save for 2010’s where the money has depreciated 10 fold. All those years of pension accumulated would barely cover 20 years of expenses with an ever increasing cost of living. So whats the fucking point? State pensions are there regardless of how much u put in.
If u got the budget u can also get skirting boards with channels to run cables through them. Hallway will look nice and cables hidden. They cost around £10-£12 per 4metre board where i live.
