Naval reactors have the advantage to having the Navy as a customer, who is used to spending billions of dollars for single ships. So naval reactors get the best material, equipment, and operators that are borderline in a cult.They also aren't expected to be profitable.
Civilian reactors don't have any of those advantages, normal size or mini.

Majority of metro systems around the world don't run 24 hour service. Found this out in London the hard way

Most European cities don't have high rises either. DC can achieve density without the need for them. The bigger issue is the massive sections of detached single family homes outside the core.

DC does a very good job at adding new housing . We are consistently one of the top cities for infill and new housing construction per square mile.

Track work is supposed to complete in early November, bringing Yellow and Blue line service back south of DCA. The station construction meanwhile is not on schedule. So trains will pass through it without stopping
