I OD’d once, fell asleep and woke up refreshed. It was mildly terrifying. Never again, until next time.

I work with the city as a contractor and it was a nightmare to get anyone on the phone. Now I’d be better off using a ouija board. We are going to lose a lot of talent if we can’t work with the city and the recipients continue to suffer. This is not attractive to out of state businesses and NYC has historically been difficult to deal with in many areas. It’s really sad. But we did get marijuana and a response method to mental health issues at least. He’s 1/4 the way though his term here, let’s go. Do something

Reply to Captain of 78th Precinct Defends Arrest of Famed Bike Lawyer For Fixing Defaced Plate by LonelyGuyTheme
I literally can’t get abandoned cars towed that are making it so the streets can’t be cleaned but they have the manpower to arrest this activist for removing a piece of trash? How do we work with the NYPD when this is how we are treated? I’m not faulting an individual officer (most are just doing their job) but the NYPD as an entity is completely tone deaf when it comes to working with the average resident. It’s his is disgusting and they are doubling down on hypocrisy. We basically have 2 cities and two sets of rules at this point and it’s infuriating.

Reply to It seems that you can pretty much park wherever you want if you have paper plates from somewhere else. by Rarek
I’ve dealt with this and had some success. So the car needs 2 summons before you can have it towed. I’d use the 311 app and call right when alternate side parking goes into effect and they can ticket the car. Take pics and everything for the 311 complaint- I used the app. After 2 tickets it’s now on YOU to have the car towed, the PD allegedly doesn’t tow cars and your local politicians can’t do anything to help. I found a tow truck driver that will take cars by asking at a local auto shop for a recommendation. Lots of tow truck drivers won’t even tow the cars. Now you have to hound the tow truck driver. I had my driveway blocked for like 10 days by an abandoned car. I also bought a huge floor jack to just move a car if it happens again. Allegedly the police will move a car if it is in the street abandoned (not in a parking space). So that’s an option as well if all else fails. We are basically on our own with the abandoned cars, at least in Brooklyn.

What if we all just decided to start confronting people? Some of us won’t make it but it would help the greater good. I’m joking but now I just sit next to people not using headphones and stare at their phone. I had one guy put his phone in his chest pocket and zip his jacket up. I’m not going to steal your iPhone dude but it works most of the time. I’ll ask what they’re playing. I want to hand out cheap headphones, like from an airplane but I’m pretty sure I’ll get beaten up. I don’t really care, I’m tired of acting like I have to just stare off and let people be assholes. Back a good person up if you’re brave. I literally don’t care anymore and I hate the loud speakers. I’m going to confront the saxophone guy and he’s definitely looking for trouble. He told a car he was going to make their ears hurt if he didn’t get more money. That’s psychotic. “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore.”

Great choice, do city point next, no one knows how to drive down Fulton anymore and there are people riding scooters through the plazas- to be fair, it’s probably safer for the scooter riders. It gets CRAZY in the morning.

Reply to comment by Qu0tak in LPT Request: Any idea how to separate a photo that is fused with the glass on its frame? by Dwestmor1007
Former picture framer here, u/QuOtak is spot on but I’d also add- if your picture gets any sunlight, UV glass will protect it from fading and spotting. It’s pretty expensive to frame correctly but it’s worth it for your important photos/art. Nothing would bother me more than seeing a family photo framed with regular glass and cardboard backing (not acid free). That family photo isn’t going to last. There are amazing scan/restoration services for situations like this, but again- good preservation work isn’t cheap and cheap preservation work isn’t good.
