It's as if this is a Mario from a parallel Mushroom Kingdom that has fallen under a Fascist Bowser regime, where Mario is the everyman, blue-collar worker who has been repressed for far too long under the oppressive order.

Now, Mario is bringing forth a rebellion against Vozhd Bowser and his army to bring forth a more free and secure nation through a revolution, alongside his allies. Will the stress take it's toll? That bulging vein in his temple says "Yes".

Mass Effect may be a good fit, actually! I'd say that the snag might be the length, but if you focus purely on the story the game might be only slightly above your threshold. If you decide to do the side quests then you're looking at a game maybe 4 times larger.

I'd say give it a go, but if you become snagged on a part have another, shorter story game on thr go to take a break from it. Splitting it up may be a decent way of going about it, if that becomes the case.

I can understand Nintendo not being a fan of this, especially considering an emulator may have no way to discern between a legally purchased copy and an illegally pirated copy. I'm also guessing there are no laws in place of third party software providing an emulation service?

There are good things to take from this: the publicity of the decent games catalogue, discovering new games, or even being able to play games not accessible elsewhere.

Maybe Nintendo might find it better to use the emulator to identify what games from the GameCube era were popular and use that to either issue some re-releases on their modern platforms, or develop new games using feedback.

The whole article is interesting, but the specific point that got me was that a hunt wasn't always instigated by the alpha and a lower-ranking dog could make the call (even if they required more "votes"). Maybe a successful hunt initiated by that individual could guarantee a step or two up the ranks in a less violent form than battles or intimidation.
