And you think this means the Boy Scouts are intentionally hiring pedophiles to abuse kids?

True, nobody has ever heard of a teacher or coach sexually abusing kids at public school....that's not constantly in the news...oh wait....

The railroads need to hire more manpower so cars can be inspected better.
They have cut manpower to the bone and overwork who they have now while pushing train sizes to their absolute maximum lengths and weight.
The crews used to get five minutes to inspect each car in their train, now that's down to one. So you have this wheel bearing being missed, overheating (hotboxing) and failing.

That rule would have only applied to Ethanol and Crude oil trains, so it wouldn't have applied to this train.
It also wouldn't have mattered because the train derailed because a wheel axle hotboxed and failed, it didn't have anything to do with braking.
Electronic Pneumatic braking also has its own problems and issues with little advantage on braking using front and rear locomotives.

What do you mean? Reading isn't a railroad anymore and these tracks are currently the SEPTA Norristown line.
Are you thinking of the old Reading Viaduct in callowhill?

Nixon street was so much more isolated and quiet just 20 years ago when I was a kid. Back in the 1970s and before it was about as close to the country as you could get inside of city limits.

When it was closed the company intentionally destroyed essential parts of the machinery in order to eliminate the possibility of it being reopened by a competitor.

My mom grew up on Nixon street and she knew the family who were the stationmasters here. They were the same family for like 100 years or something like that.
I truly hope they follow through and restore this building.

That wasn't a factory. It was the Shawmont Raw Water Pumping Station.

Most contractors aren't going you want you over their shoulder and half the benefit of them is you get to go to work and come back home to them being done a project.
Youtube, reddit, and a bit of figuring things out and practice is what will get you through whatever projects you want to tackle.
Most things are easier than they seem, and once you cock up a bit in the beginning you get the hang out it and can get it all done.

Idk how it works for the streets dept, but for regular people you can't get a car towed for parking illegally in Philly unless it has been ticketed by the PPD.
My apartment complex has a huge parking issue and nothing can be done to move people who park other cars in and park illegally until you wait 3 hours for a cop to show up and write a ticket.

These things shouldn't be taking up the sidewalk and making them impassable to pedestrians but honestly I don't care if they take up some parking or if they close off restaurant heavy side streets and put them there, like they did on Sansom by 15th.
And I say this as a tradesmen who has to park his 2500HD truck in CC.

Use those on the wall along Broad street to break through into the abandoned section of the concourse and the abandoned concourse police station.
