Cast iron and most raw metals that require seasoning. Stainless tends to discolor as does untreated/raw aluminum. If you do put dishwasher safe stainless, make sure it doesn’t contact anything. Anything with a coating will do okay but its life expectancy will inevitably be shortened such as that of Teflon coated pans. I hear applying a light coat of oil after drying is recommended for this. Wood is a big no no. Plastics also will lose elasticity over time with regular use in the dishwasher. You may want to download the user manual for your dishwasher as it may provide proper loading of utensils and such. Hope that helps.

+1 for Columbia. I think I bought the original bugaboo 3-in-1 on my trip to the Antarctic Peninsula years ago. Granted, it was their summer in February but I did sweat wearing that thing!

Personally, I like Stickley but it’s $$$. I stepped down a little and went with Ethan Allen.

Can you be specific with application? How large of an area are you vacuuming? Whole house? What type of flooring? Pets? Is hair typically an issue? Do you have stairs that require vacuuming? What’s good and what’s good for you can produce different answers.

Reply to Wondering if anyone could give me recommendations or point me in the right direction when looking at gas ranges? by OriginalKid
There’s a lot of factors into this. Are looking at free standing/slide in? How large of an oven capacity do you want/need? Do you prefer a double oven? Is a convection oven a requirement? How about controls: front facing or faces down? How many burners do you need? Is color/finish a factor? Whatever the case, LP/natural gas ranges don’t have much complexity, compared to electric or induction. I personally would look at Bosch or Miele. For something cheaper, I’ve had luck with Frigidaire. Consider looking at your range hood as well - most over the range hoods don’t have the proper coverage area, especially over the range microwave hoods. Good luck.
