For capitalism to succeed, The government has to be an opposing force. Capitalists are encouraged to prosper while the government rides on their back and makes sure it benefits the country as a whole.

When capitalism owns the government, it goes bad.

The US was built on the idea that you could come here and get filthy rich, and you would damn sure chip in to that government that allowed you to become so rich.

Income tax for the wealthy was traditionally very high, they benefited the most, they paid the most. Rockefeller became the richest man in the world while paying more than 75% income tax.

You know Reddit’s a really big website. If a huge cross-section of humanity likes a show, that’s a reasonable gauge of popularity.

What you mean to say is the difference between popular and profitable.

I’m just getting fed up that I am willing to buy a subscription just to watch a show and all the services that are supposed to want my money tell me to fuck off.

We have to admit that the only purpose of streaming ahows is to get us to subscribe, us keeping our subscription means nothing to them.

Everybody who signs up for one show needs to cancel as soon as that show is canceled.
