He jumped at the top of the downhill part leading to the actual jump and landed on the uphill part of the ramp. He should have bent his knees and absorbed the little kicker zipped down the steep part and then off the ramp at the bottom.

Install a cat or dog door that locks open then you can just use a piece of cardboard in the opening with the duct tube taped to it. Close and lock the pet door when not using it.
