I don’t think you understand what “data”, “beautiful”, or “proof” means. But the entire argument hinges on the idea of establishing a trend looking at only the first couple years of the sample.

Since this is quite a mishmash and quite loudly a priori in favor of particular policies, I don’t think this meets minimum requirements for this sub.

Mars is about the size of the moon. But it has more dry land than earth. That’s because Earth is an ocean planet.

Your contempt for humans doesn’t match with the incomparable coöperative effort it would take to terraform Mars — a task for which we have a word but no actual concept of the scale of the project.

Parasites are still a part of the ecosystem. Evolution is not a moral system.

What planet is going to be easier to terraform than Earth?

Because the most central part of voting is getting your base to vote at all. You’d be right if more of us voted, but most people don’t, and that’s largely because of our first to the post system.

Homo Sapiens Sapiens looks to be something like 300,000 years old. That’s very young as species go. Before (and a while after) that, there had been other Homo species for about 4,000,000 years.

H. Sapiens spread across the earth in a couple tens of thousands of years. But aside from little variations, there’s not a ton of evolution happening. We’re all H. Sapiens Sapiens.

It would certainly be easier to do to Earth. Earth is Easy Mode on terraforming. Seems like we could learn a lot by reversing the climate catastrophe, however many centuries it might take.

We still have a pretty poor understanding of what Mars has to offer. That’s why we want people to be able to go there.

Homo Sapiens Sapiens, who seem to have evolved in the northwest corner of Africa, now exist in every climate on Earth. We don’t actually know what we’re capable of.
