Really good movie. It features a young Jake Gyllenhaal.

Reply to College Football Playoff makes official 12-team expansion beginning in 2024-25 season by 0Ring-0
It just shows you what a money grab college football really is. The four team playoff was introduced to have an uncontested national champion which the bcs couldn't do. For years every conference wouldn't do it do to player safety and the fact that these kids were supposed to be getting an education.
COVID hits. No football or March madness and colleges started hemorrhaging money. Now we have a 12 team playoff and super conferences are on the way because of media rights. I've basically lost all respect for higher education.

Honestly not sure. It could be cost. You need to reduce sail/wing size in stronger winds. Having three different sized hard wings is going to be more expensive then one mast with three different sized sails. AC is a little unique in that the last country to win gets to set the rules and some design for the next competition.

These boats are based on older AC designs. The newest class the sail is more flexible.

America's cup (F1 for sailboat racing) switched to solid sails 10 years ago or so. It's basically a wing.

Reply to Why don't classical musicians memorize their music? by samh748
Have you tried memorizing 1-1/2-2 hours of extremely complex music? They would have to do this every week during the performance season. They also practice several hours a day as well as teach at nearby universities. It's a full schedule and memorizing really doesn't add anything to the performance.
