Yeah they play a roll...in putting actual small town grocery stores out of business. It's terrible. Small towns with nothing but frozen and processed food from dollar general for options. my brother has to travel an hour round trip to get to a real grocery store, and has lost 2 closer grocery stores while "gaining" 3 dollar general stores in the last decade.
