The point of emissions and impact on the environment is certainly the most important aspect of the discussion. But the call out was waste, and the amount of consumption vs total, especially for energy production has to be small.
I wasn't really arguing for lawns or fossil fuel, moreso looking for perspective on the actual consumption amounts because I was curious

How much of the total fossil fuel consumption is represented by residential lawn care? I'd have to imagine significantly less than 1%

When we moved into our house there were like 300 Mr. Yuck stickers under our sink in the kitchen. When a plumber came to fox a clog, he was SO EXCITED to find them. I let him take them because it clearly meant more to him than to me. Glad to know I could get more should I ever need them

This is great advice, so I'll add on to it. Finding your interests includes what it is about the work that you like. You really like reading up about a topic, finding articles and learning on a topicand researching how stuff works? really like tinkering around with physical circuits to build complex ones and working with your hands? maybe it's organizing things and tracking your progress throughout your project? those things may influence the type of company and which team within the organization you target. Innovation teams and start-up companies will require more research and may be less organized or regimented. Whereas bigger organizations, and especially defense contractors, will provide more formality and allow you to concentrate your efforts more precisely.
I like to build new stuff and solve new problems, whereas I'll get bored working on an older product making incremental updates or fixes. So i stick with innovation. But some people don't appreciate the unknowns and the anxiety that comes with that, so they'd rather be confident in the context in which they're operating.
Some people like product support, and solve problems as they arise. Working closely with customers to build relationships and collaboratively solve problems. These guys are great at staying calm under pressure.
Others like to speak and be the face of the team in product marketing or sales engineering.
You don't have to choose any of those up front, but pay attention to the types of work you're drawn to, what you're good at, just as importantly what you tend to avoid or put off. How you operate and like to operate can mean a lot in how successful you are in a given role, and what to look for when changing roles.

I bet you could get a ticket to the Steelers game tonight for next to nothing. A lot of people can't go and it's going to be cold AF, but it's the 50th anniversary of the immaculate reception, and they're going to retire the jersey of Franco Harris, God rest his soul. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience

I don't think the point of this comment was specific to diabetic patients, and more about lifting barriers to vaccination, improving vaccination rates

Oral meds are often effective within 30 min. Is that not fast enough?

It's such a down to earth place, juxtaposed with debauchery and gross bathrooms that you have to love it. And only partially ironically.
Also, I once saw them shoot a late- night (3-4am) music video there. It was a random weekend and when they were closing, we just said we wanted to stay and watch production, gave the bartender some cash, and they let us stay. Amazing in so many ways.... I wish I knew the artist or song so I could look it up on YouTube or whatever. Sadly, I only remember the event, and not the specifics. I'm not sure I've been back since, and this was probably 10 years ago, but still a very fond and ridiculous memory

It's 3/4 acre, so it would take a lot of iteration, but I wouldn't have expected it to be that easy.
