You misunderstand. The new generations are getting screwed by the death of bookstores and record stores, no one is blaming them.

The new generations get their phones with unlimited access to everything, but have lost record stores and bookstores. The kids will be alright but I still don’t think it was a fair trade.

I would lose Alchemist, Hunger Games and The Help and Twelve Years a Slave. If you want a slave narrative, read Sojourner Truth.

It means something of course. He likes music and is obsessed with surfaces. But it’s not that deep. Not being deep is the meaning.

Reply to I read Finnegan's Wake so you don't have to by machobiscuit
Finnegan is a nightmare from which I’m trying to awake. This is more a collage than a book. More like abstract painting than literature. Read a lot of it and understood very little and skipped to the end. Ulysses is super cool and satisfying to read but yeah agree with OP’s review, as much as one can for a book they didn’t read all of.
