Check out the mill buildings in Lowell. Lowell does have some decent food options throughout the city.
They’ve done some good things with the mill properties. Then if you want you can always hop on the commuter rail into Boston, or take a car either way on. Route 3 or 495 and have access to more options in the neighboring towns

Reply to comment by tacknosaddle in Boston's latest murder victim was just 13 by rabblebowser
Agree that information is definitely missing. But tacknosaddle isn’t entirely wrong. Over the years families that were associated with, or loosely connected to particular neighborhood gangs, moved out of Boston in favor of places like Everett, Malden, revere, Norwood, Randolph, stoughton, etc.
But they’d still frequently return to Boston neighborhoods for some visits with friends or family. So this person might not be directly involved in anything nefarious, but being in the wrong neighborhood when the ops come through could have these results.
I do wish they would all stop shooting each other over silly neighborhood allegiance over a feud that likely began before they were even out of diapers.

That persons response is reprehensible, and shouldn’t ever happen. But use this as a lesson when involved in these situations. Don’t antagonize someone because people’s responses are not always logical.
Sucks that it is that way, but it’s the world we live in now.

Spare change guy was such a creep. A creep to the point that he was dangerous. Most people that didn’t know him just kind of laughed off his “got any change?” Routine.

Reply to Xfinity subscribers, what are we paying for? I haven't had cable in 11 years and I don't watch sports. Xfinity gave me the vaguest answer. by DistilledBrookie7
If it’s the only option, only keep xfinity for internet. If you have a handful of devices you can get a decent price. Then if you want any live tv or anything like that spend the money on FuboTV (best sports option). If you don’t care about sports, hulutv is a good option, and YouTube tv.

Reply to Best bar to visit solo? by boxyfox123
So, I like this bar just for the purpose of enjoying people watching.
Center Bar at the encore casino. I don’t even have to gamble. I’ll go in, grab a drink and then walk around and watch anything that captures my interest. The bar is usually busy, so casual conversation is tough to have at the bar. If it’s slower, it’s easier. But I can walk around, watch what’s going on and start conversation with almost anyone else that’s just watching.

Cemetery is the place to go. My grandfather used to take us there to learn to drive. He always would say “you got nothing to worry about here, everyone’s already dead.”

Concord carlisle for hs. If you want k-8, carlisle school doesn’t have many teachers leaving after they get hired.

No fire places, but other places to consider Porches inn - North Adams. Has a heated pool, quick walk over to Mass MoCA. Can do some hiking. Can drive down to Smith College museum of art. Bunch of different options
Tourists - North Adams. No pool here or fireplaces in the rooms. But very nice looking property. Easy access to hiking trails and all the other stuff mentioned above.
Woodstock inn - Woodstock Vermont. No fireplaces in the rooms. But can relax and unwind in the quaint town of Woodstock. Visit shops, dine at the restaurants, hike quechee gorge.

8pm should be fine. Park st (at the common) does tend to attract a certain group of people that hang in the area, but they don’t really bother anyone.
Omni Parker house is very close to the Orpheum, if you want a place that’s quick to get to. The Godfrey as well. XV beacon is just a little bit further of a walk, but close.
The area is pretty saturated with hotels, it depends on how far you’re willing to walk. If you want to walk the least then omni or Godfrey would be the best options
