I have both, but I use my PS5 more because I just like the controller a lot more than the Xbox controller. It is just the best controller out right now, somehow I just find the Xbox controller to feel cheaper and it just lacks features.

I think I went passed the 365 days mark played on my main World of Warcraft character during the early days of the Dragonflight expansion. Now this character has been with me since the beginning of WoW itself, but I think at least half of that time was spent during the first 2-3 years as I was much more into the game back then. Still play it for a few months every year, but not nearly as active now.

Compared to movies, most sequels in gaming are better than the original. They just have better game mechanics, and technology grants you better graphics and more advanced things to do etc.

When sequels fail is when either story elements ruin it, or developers change the game so drastically it can't be recognized as the same series or is dumb down in some ways. Oh and severe monetization and stuff like that.

I was really into the game at the start but the further I get the more annoyed I get with the combat. There is just too much timing based stuff for my taste. Especially the parry system is just too hard to get down for me. And I don't get how you are supposed to do all these long combos when enemies constantly interrupt you.

And I have to admit I think the music gets very repetitive after a while, not really that odd as everything is tied to the same beat. But for a game designed around music, this is a pretty bad omen.

The stand outs for me are the boss fights, and I wish I could skip all the normal combat and just have boss fights as they are actually fun. I just think the combat works much better when you focus on one enemy and not surrounded by many.

Definitely a game made with passion though, as the visuals, animations and artistic design of the game is amazing. Great game, but I think it is a bit of a niche genre that not everyone will enjoy.

Witcher 3 for me.

It has a great story, but it is the characters that truly sells it all. So many interesting people and monsters to meet throughout the game. And the game has the best side quests ever made in any open world game. And the two DLC packs are how all DLC should strive to be like, so much value for what you get.

I know many do not like the combat in this game, but I just love it. It feals just so fitting to how I pictured Geralt fighting when I read the books. It is like a dance of blades and magic, with pirouettes and brutal finishers.

The game is absoloutly gorgous to look at, even today I think it is one of the best looking games ever made, not just the fidelity, but the games art design. No game has immersed me as much into its world as Witcher 3 did. It is just something about walking through a village, seeing children play in the street, a mother holding her baby in her arms and people just going about their day.. It all just feels so alive to me.

The soundtrack in the game is also perfection. I remember the first time I went to Skellige and The Fields of Ard Skellig track started. I remember just riding slowly through the countryside with that amazing music and being mesmerized by the gorgous landscapes, it is one of my favorite gaming moments ever.

Is the game perfect? No, no game is perfect and Witcher 3 has some issues. They ruined the controler motion in the game with an update, but thankfully there is a mod that fixes this on PC. The game also has terrible balance when it comes to the loot in the game. So many legendary weapons are just beyond useless and I really wish they had some form of transmog system in place.

There is also some pacing issues with side quests, and normally I hate level scaling in games. But from a lore perspective, it makes no sense that Geralt meets some monster and it is impossible for him to take it on because of your level. Mods fixes most of these problems though.

Overall it is my favorite game and I can't to replay it again when the remaster comes out.
